Serving to support Breakthroughs in Cancer Research

A Note on the 2026 Racquets Classic

Unfortunately, this year's Jay Sigel Invitational Racquets Classic has been cancelled. We're grateful to everyone who was ready to hit the courts in support of the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute — and we promise this is simply a pause, not a goodbye.

The Racquets Classic will absolutely be back next year, and we can't wait to see you on the courts then.

JAY SIGEL INVITATIONAL - RACQUETS CLASSIC

We're sorry to share that the 2026 Jay Sigel Invitational Racquets Classic — tennis, paddle, and pickleball — will not be taking place this year. We know many of you were looking forward to a morning of Round Robin play, the Padel Clinic, and lunch on the patio, and we're disappointed too.

The good news: this is a one-year pause, not the end. The Racquets Classic will absolutely return next year, and we're already looking forward to bringing everyone back together on the courts.

Thank you for your continued support of the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute at the University of Pennsylvania — every bit of generosity helps drive breakthroughs in cancer care forward.

" We now sit at an inflection point where we have the ability to revolutionize the timeline of cancer care."

Susan Domchek, MD,  Executive director of the Basser Center for BRCA at Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center.
